Celebrating Organ Donation Week

This year, Organ Donation Week is taking place from Monday 18th September to Sunday 24th September, to help raise awareness around the importance of organ donation and encourage people to confirm their decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. In aid of this special campaign, we're celebrating the extraordinary people who gave this life-saving gift.

Simon

Simon donated his kidney to a stranger after his daughter Olivia became unexpectedly and critically unwell and nearly needed a liver transplant. This year, Simon and Olivia took on the #GreatHospitalHike as hike leaders.

Catherine

Catherine gave part of her liver to her son George, who was suffering from a rare form of cancer and needed an urgent liver transplant to survive. This year, George and Catherine completed the Little Hospital Hike for the second time in a row.
