Location: We are based in London and meetings generally take place close to King's College Hospital in Denmark Hill or in Central London during work hours.
These roles are unremunerated. Reasonable, pre-agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.

About the role
King's College Hospital Charity is seeking two new Trustees, one with legal and governance expertise and another with a professional fundraising background. With ambitious plans to double in size, the new Trustees will play a critical role in supporting the organisation's growth. The successful candidates will join the active board of twelve Trustees.
The Board is responsible for:
- Agreeing the charity's strategic aims, objectives, and direction
- Ensuring effective performance management and assurance processes
- Protecting the charity’s assets
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements, our articles of association and good governance practice
Key Responsibilities
As a Trustee of King’s College Hospital Charity, specific responsibilities will include:
- Preparing for and attending Board and committee meetings, using specific skills to help deliver on strategy, manage risks, and make sound decisions
- Actively contributing to the Board’s strategic direction, policy setting, and performance evaluation
- Ensuring Board decisions are in the best interests of the charity’s beneficiaries (patients) and align with the charity’s values
- Ensuring resources are used exclusively as outlined in the governing documents
- Managing the Charity's property and ensuring proper investment of funds
- Upholding the Charity’s financial stability and reputation
- Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the Charity
The Board delegates day-to-day management of the Charity to the staff team led by the Chief Executive. Each Trustee is also a member and director of the King’s College Hospital Charity company.
