Painting auctioned for Hospital Heroes Appeal

Award winning South East London artist, Lucy du Sautoy, is auctioning her most recent masterpiece in aid of our Hospital Heroes Appeal. Titled 'Heroes I', the painting depicts the rooftops of King's through a rain-speckled window, with an iconic rainbow blazing through the sky in tribute to our amazing NHS.

Lucy du Sautoy's paintings are contemplations of the changing surface of everyday window panes, acknowledging random moments in time and space helped by changes in weather, the season, or the light of the day.

"The window captures a special vision of the world – combining external reality with our own internal experience, where looking out can be touched by memories, hopes, uncertainties and daydreams. While we are forced to stay inside, the window, and the opportunities looking out provide may become even more meaningful to us."

Heroes I - 50 x 50cms, oil on canvas, framed

Lucy is auctioning Heroes I online, with all proceeds to our Hospital Heroes Appeal, which is supporting our hospitals and heroic NHS staff during this undeniably challenging time.

Until the end of May, Lucy will also be selling limited edition prints of selected paintings with all profits to King’s College Hospital Charity.
