Love Your Liver Month: Simon’s second chance at life

This Love Your Liver Month, we’re celebrating the life-saving work of King’s Liver Transplant Unit – home to the largest liver transplantation programme in Europe.

To have that sort of team... the teamwork was extraordinary. The nurses, the doctors, the transplant coordinators, the ITU staff- everybody worked as a team.

When Simon became critically ill with liver failure, a transplant at King’s saved his life. Today, he’s making the most of his second chance, travelling across the globe to compete in World Transplant Games and connect with others who share his journey.
