King's College Hospital Charity welcomes new Trustees

King’s College Hospital Charity is pleased to announce the appointment of Gillian Burgess, Priscilla Lutalo and Ian McKetty as Trustees and Florence Akende as a member of the Finance, Audit and Investment Committee.
These appointments bring a wealth of experience in finance, technology and innovation as well as in equality, diversity and inclusion leadership. Both are vital for King’s College Hospital Charity as we embark on a new strategy to help King’s make the best care possible.

  • Gillian Burgess is currently Executive Vice President & Head of Research at Gruenenthal, a pharmaceutical company. Among a wide range of roles relating to medical research and innovation, she is Chair of ‘Advanced Oxford’ and a Trustee and member of the Board of Directors of the Rosalind Franklin Institute.
  • Priscilla Lutalo is Head of Audit for Operations & Payments at a global financial institution. As well as being a microfinance advocate and a mentor, she is a leader in diversity initiatives, focusing on belonging and community outreach.
  • Ian McKetty is the Chief Information Officer of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He is also the executive lead for Kew’s equality, diversity and inclusion programme, an independent governor at the University of Bedfordshire and an active business mentor.
  • Florence Akende is a Managing Director at Barclays PLC. She has held a range of senior roles including financial control, strategic change delivery and governance within Barclays and is an active leader of the diversity and inclusion agenda.
