Maisie's story

Maisie is taking part in the 2025 King's Abseil as a way of thanking King's for her care for over 20 years.

Maisie has been treated at King's for 27 years, ever since she was a baby, for chronic liver disease.

King's has played a huge part in Maisie's life and continues to do so, as she has still has regular appointments every six months.

The fantastic care Maisie has received at King's has made her the person she is today, making her stronger, more resilient and determined.

Taking part in the abseil means a lot because I know that if it wasn't for King’s, I wouldn't be the person I am today. It's made me stronger, it’s made me more resilient and very determined.

Maisie is excited about taking on the abseil and is grateful to be giving back to King's as a thank you to the staff and to help raise money for patients like herself.
