The Unit is one of the lead paediatric Neuro-oncology centres in the UK, providing neurosurgical care and rehabilitation for around 100 children, teenagers and young adults every year.
"Our team are going above and beyond," says Neurosurgeon, Cristina Bleil.
"We've decided to unite together to raise funds to support research and development of new technologies in paediatric neurosurgery."

On Saturday 23 October, the team kicked off their fundraising by successfully cycling from London to Brighton, collectively covering 720 miles.
Highlights of their journey inclued an accidental off-road detour, conquering the dreaded "Ditchling Beacon" and arriving with zero tyre punctures.
So far, they have raised almost £2,000 for their unit and are already planning their next challenge.
"A great day was had by all!"
