It is with particular fondness that we recall the visit that Her Majesty made to King's College Hospital to open the Golden Jubilee Wing in honour of her then fifty years on the throne.

With gratitude for a life of public service
We are profoundly sad to hear that Her Majesty the Queen has died. We’re so grateful for the huge contribution she made through dedicating her life to public service since becoming Head of State when the NHS had only just formed.
