We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Bolchover as our new Chief Executive
With over 25 years of experience in the charity and not-for-profit sectors, Alan joins us from the Outward Bound Trust where he has been a Director since 2010, where fundraised income grew from £1.7m in 2010 to over £100m in the last decade.
Alan has held several non-executive and trustee roles at the University of Hull and Trustee at King’s College Hospital Charity (for six years until March 2025).
Alan will start in November 2025 and takes over from Gail Scott-Spicer, who stepped down in August after seven years as our CEO.
Adrian Williams, Chair of Trustees at King’s College Hospital Charity, said: “We are delighted to have been able to appoint Alan as our new Chief Executive. Against some very strong competition, Alan stood out as uniquely able to lead our Charity as we execute our new strategy and chart an even more ambitious course for our work. Our Board and Executive Team are hugely looking forward to working with Alan once more to increase our impact for the hospitals, patients and staff we serve.”
Alan Bolchover said: “King's College Hospital Charity has made great strides in the last few years and I cannot wait to join the team as we continue funding innovative research, capital projects and patient wellbeing - while also supporting the staff who work across the King’s College Hospital Foundation Trust hospital estate.”
We will welcome Alan in November 2025.
