July Steps Challenge - Sue's Story

Sue took on the July Steps Challenge in memory of her late husband

Sue completed the July Steps Challenge to raise money for King's because she sadly lost her husband to multiple myeloma. He had been treated at King's for the previous five years.

As a keen supporter of charities, Sue wanted to raise as much as possible for King's as a thank you for her husband's fantastic care.

The commitment to doing some exercise every day was another reason Sue took part in the challenge, and did so with the loving support of her family and fellow dog walkers.

The King's staff were all so amazing, so lovely, so caring. They actually spent time chatting to him because he was often in isolation because of his immune system. They really couldn't have done more. We didn't have a bad experience, not one second during the whole time. So that's why it's a very special place to me now.

My way of saying thank you is to continue to try and raise money for King's, because the teams, all the staff, from top to bottom, were just amazing.
