Her final walk on December 11, 2022, marks the exact date of the 10th anniversary of Tessa's successful Stem Cell Transplant for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (a type of blood cancer).
To celebrate ten years since her transplant, Tessa wants to give back to the hospital that saved her life by raising funds to support the haematology outpatients department. This provides daycare services including clinics and supportive therapies plus other essential haematology services required by outpatients needing treatment for blood cancers, Sickle Cell Anemia and other blood related disorders.
After her transplant, Tessa was a regular user of the Haematology Outpatient unit for over two years and had to undergo many invasive and exhausting procedures.
See Tessa's JustGiving page to help her reach her £10K target to make the best care possible for haematology outpatients.
