Is there something you’ve always dreamed of doing to benefit your patients or the community around your hospital? We want to hear about it!

King’s College Hospital Charity is looking for an ambitious project to take to a major funder this summer so we’re launching a search for a big idea.

The successful project will

  • Cost £500,000 to £1 million over two years
  • Directly benefit patients or the local community
  • Be innovative; not something that you’re already doing
  • Solve a problem or meet a significant need
  • Work in partnership with another charity or voluntary group, or be open to the idea of doing so
  • Be creative and original

Unfortunately we can’t support projects involving medical research, large pieces of equipment, building new facilities, or which will benefit only staff members.

There’s a two-stage process. Firstly we’ll ask you to fill in a short form giving an outline of your idea. You can find  this below, and the deadline is 3rd June. We’re also holding drop in sessions at Denmark Hill on Friday 24th May at 14.00 in the boardroom and  at the PRUH on Friday 17th May, location tbc. So come along for a chat if you’d like some advice on your idea or application. Or you can call Nancy O’Brien on ext 36230 or email nancy.o’brien1@nhs.net.

We will choose which projects to take forward to stage two when we’ll ask for some more detailed information.
